WooCommerce inventory monitoring

Status: supported. GNIZDO connects to a WooCommerce store as an independent channel, hardens a confirmed catalog snapshot, and makes freshness, completeness, and stock/price changes visible for review. WooCommerce is the one platform where GNIZDO also supports explicit, capability-gated per-item stock or price writes — a manual action, never automatic cross-channel sync.

What GNIZDO reads

GNIZDO reads the connected store's catalog read-only:

  • Stock quantity or stock status for every product and variation
  • Price per product and variation
  • Listing/product state and key identifiers (including SKU)
  • Channel trust, connection, freshness, and sync-execution signals

How the connection works

You connect a WooCommerce store using scoped store URL plus consumer key and secret credentials. GNIZDO validates the credentials, resolves the store identity, then reads the catalog into a confirmed local generation. Reconnect protection prevents a different store from silently taking over an existing channel.

What GNIZDO shows

  • Latest known stock, price, and listing state for each product and variation
  • Import progress and catalog completeness, so partial or failed reads are visible
  • Freshness — how long since the channel was last successfully observed
  • Change evidence — stock drops, price changes, listings appearing or disappearing between observations
  • Oversell-risk signals combining low stock with stale freshness

Write capability

When a WooCommerce channel reports write capability, an operator can send an explicit per-item stock or price update. These are deliberate, capability-gated manual actions — GNIZDO never automatically corrects inventory, never syncs between channels, and never writes back to another platform.

How confirmed mapping works for WooCommerce

GNIZDO can surface likely same-product candidates against other channels using exact SKU or title evidence, but a match is only a candidate. You confirm which listings represent the same product; only then does GNIZDO treat them as one item and keep their cross-channel evidence together so differences are visible. WooCommerce has no built-in assumption that equal SKUs mean shared identity.

Limitations

  • GNIZDO mirrors what the store reports; it has no separate warehouse, POS, or WMS source of physical stock truth.
  • Writes are per-item and capability-gated when enabled — not bulk, not automatic.
  • Cross-channel comparison applies only to confirmed shared identity.
