Platform scope

WooCommerce: runtime supported and merchant-connectable; reads plus explicit capability-gated per-item stock/price writes; no automatic cross-channel sync.
Etsy: runtime supported and merchant-connectable; OAuth-only and read-only, with catalog evidence plus observed vacation-mode shop state; no write-back.
Shopify: supported OAuth-only read-only runtime; not merchant-connectable until the Shopify App Store listing is published and configured.
eBay: planned; not a supported catalog runtime; not merchant-connectable.

Canonical state axes

catalog_trust: unverified, trusted, stale — freshness and trust of confirmed catalog evidence.
connection: connected, auth_failed, connection_lost, unknown — ability to obtain new evidence.
sync: idle, queued, running, failed, failed_to_start — execution state of collection work.

These axes are independent. GNIZDO does not collapse them into one aggregate channel-health verdict.

Overselling-risk indicators are contextual evidence for review, not a canonical oversell_risk detector or prediction.

Identity boundary

Shared identity is confirmed either by explicit user confirmation or by deterministic, fail-closed automatic rules. Automatic confirmation requires an exact valid GTIN or an exact unique SKU with no conflicting GTIN; ambiguous, duplicate, or conflicting evidence stays unconfirmed for manual review. Exact SKU/title evidence may also surface candidates for user review; a matching title, price, or external identifier never establishes identity. Confirmation provenance and automatic confirmation evidence are machine-readable on the Mapping API. Cross-channel item comparison applies only after confirmation, and confirmed identity is not synchronization.

Write and truth boundaries

Detection is independent of write access. WooCommerce may expose explicit per-item writes when capability is available; Etsy and Shopify are read-only. GNIZDO does not automatically synchronize inventory between channels and does not claim physical warehouse truth.
